Representative Squad Program

The Wyndham Netball Association Representative Squad program is a reflection of our Associations commitment to improving the abilities of our players, coaches and umpires 
 

The purpose of the Wyndham Netball Association Representative Squad program is to provide a localised training environment that allows eligible aspiring young netballers within the Wyndham Netball Association to access quality development opportunities.

All players who are offered the opportunity to play in a representative team must play within one of the Wyndham Netball Association competitions. Through rigorous process, WNA select players to represent the Association in the 11/U, 13/U, 15/U and 17/U age groups.
 

Our aim is to give players from the Wyndham Netball Association the opportunity to develop their netball skills whilst fostering important life skills such as pride, respect, responsibility, maturity, discipline, excellence, passion, sportsmanship and determination in a friendly, yet competitive environment.

 

WNA teams are Junior Representative teams and not all players go onto play at an elite level. However we select players that are excelling in their age group or we feel have the potential to be developed. Hopefully all players will enjoy the experience and gain from the extra coaching and court time they receive.
 

Each team has a dedicated coach who takes the players and team through the year of selection. All the WNA coaches strive to teach values and life skills to our players.

 

We encourage our players to pursue the pathway provided through the WNA Representative Squad Program, the Elmer Region, VNL and beyond. Every year our Rep Squad teams compete at the Central West Association Championships which provides opportunities for players to be talent identified (TID) through the Netball Victoria pathway. Victoria consists of 22 netball regions. The Elmer Region encompasses Wyndham Netball Association along with our regional partner associations. Elmer Region is represented at the Netball Victoria State Titles annually with WNA players strongly represented.
