NV Update: VNA 2026

Netball Victoria’s 2026 member registration period begins in October, ahead of many affiliates running summer seasons.

This is an exciting time to be involved in netball, with the game going from strength to strength and participation in Victoria at an all-time high. Membership across the state topped 117,000 last year, surpassing the previous year’s record, and Netball Victoria look forward to welcoming more new players, coaches, officials and administrators in 2026.

The money raised from memberships is an essential part of that commitment. While we are determined to keep participant costs as low as possible, 2026 senior fees will increase by $4 and junior fees by $3. Woolworths NetSetGo registration fees will remain the same and will open on 1 December 2025.

This small increase in annual membership is necessary so Netball Victoria can invest even more in growing grassroots netball and supporting our vital affiliates, while also covering rising costs.

Netball Victoria is proud that its fees remain lower than every other state netball organisation, and less or comparable to other sporting bodies, while also continuing to ensure that membership delivers great value.

Not only does membership enable you to play, coach, umpire or participate in any Netball Victoria-affiliated association, competition or development course, it also allows Netball Victoria to provide support across vital areas including:

Training & support

  • Staff located across regional and metropolitan Victoria to provide support, information and resources.
  • New and updated volunteer, umpiring and coaching initiatives.
  • Increased resourcing and support driving the development and maintenance of facilities and courts required to meet netball’s growing needs.
  • Support engaging local government and council stakeholders, including provision of up-to-date, system-wide data.
  • Community development, including diversity, inclusion and school programs.
  • Governance and policy development and support.
  • Management and administration support, including an improved Netball Connect competition management system to make game day and fixturing run more smoothly.

Insurance

  • Purpose-designed contemporary insurance across the entire season, providing extensive coverage for netball participants, officials, coaches and affiliates.
  • Netball Victoria’s insurance is entirely transportable (players can compete across multiple tournaments and competitions) and includes training, trials and travel to and from these activities. Insurance is valid for a 12-month period.
  • A national insurance arrangement provides personal accident and public liability insurance for players, coaches, umpires and volunteers, and includes coverage for administrative or organised social activities.
  • Associations, leagues and clubs are covered for public and products liability, professional indemnity, personal accident for volunteers and property insurance.

Pathway development

  • Player development, talent identification, pathway and competitions.
  • Coach and umpire development and pathways.

Eagle Stadium Access, Parking & Surrounding Areas- Feb 8th

There is a Music Festival taking place at Werribee Racecourse this Saturday, February 8th.

Gates for the festival will open at 10am until approx 10:30pm

Currently, access to parking for the event will be off Bulban Road, however, depending on capacity, it will possibly extend into the Eagle Stadium carpark

Things to be aware of:

  • Expect reduced speed limits on Ballan Road for 200 metres on either side of Eagle Stadium
